📁 Installing Presets in DaVinci Resolve

1. Where do I install `.setting` files?

To install a preset, first open DaVinci Resolve, go to the Fusion tab, then open the Effects Library. Right-click on any category like Titles or Transitions, and choose “Show Folder”.

Paste your `.setting` file into the corresponding folder:

Documents/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/Fusion/Templates/Edit/Titles

Restart DaVinci Resolve to see your preset.

2. Preset not showing up?

Make sure:

• You placed the file in the correct folder (e.g. Titles, Transitions, etc.)
• The file extension is .setting
• You restarted DaVinci Resolve after copying

3. Where do I install Macros or Fuses?

Macros: Place them inside:
Fusion/Templates/Tools

Fuses:

• Windows: C:\Program Files\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Fusion\Fuses
• Mac: /Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/Fusion/Fuses

Restart Resolve to apply changes.

4. Can I use these in the free version?

Yes. Most presets work perfectly in the free version of DaVinci Resolve. If any require Studio, it will usually be mentioned on the download page.
